Poachers Kill Another Rhino in Kaziranga Park

Poachers killed another one horned rhino in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park(KNP) on Wednesday and fled with the horn, officials said.

The incident took place in the Kathalchang area under control of the Burhapahar range office in the national park, where poachers killed the rhino.

Poachers escaped from the area with the horn.

“Forest guards recovered a dehorned bullet-injured male rhino inside the park,” an official of KNP said.

Forest guards also recovered three empty cartridges and a cartridge of insas rifle near the bullet injured body.
