DERA ISMAIL KHAN: On Thursday, a US drone strike killed six people on Zeba Mountain in the Bermal Tehsil of South Waziristan near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
“An earlier strike killed the Communication Commander in charge of the Haqqani Network and three other militants in North Waziristan,” sources said.
A US drone fired two missiles on Zeba Mountain; two reported Afghani Mujahideen and four where locals in Tehsil Bermal South Waziristan,” said security sources.
Earlier this morning around 6:50AM a US drone fired two missiles at a Jamil Afghani House in Dandey Darpakhel village, about nine kilometers north of Miranshah, “Jalil Haqani, an important communications commander of Haqqani Network was killed,” security official told NewsBlaze on the condition of anonymity.
“He was working as a coordinator of the Haqqani Network in North Waziristan,” the official said.
Last month, US Officials accused Pakistan of supporting the Haqqani Militant Network. The US blames the militant network for the recent attack on its embassy and other targets in Kabul.
