US Officials Accuse Pakistan of Supporting Haqqani Militant Network

US officials allege that Pakistan’s powerful spy agency supports the Haqqani militant network that Washington blames for the recent attack on its embassy and other targets in Kabul.

In response to the allegations, Pakistani people say “The United States is blaming our country to cover up for its own failures in the region.” Many demand their government respond strongly and forcefully. The people of Pakistan will support their government if it does so.

In South and North Waziristan, people say the USA is falling to curb the terrorists in Afganistan. The people say the United States of America and its allies in its war against terrorism have exerted their full strength and resources. But still they are falling to curb these elements.

In its hunt for Al-Qaeda members, the US resorts to drone attacks in the Tribal areas of Pakistan, especially in South and North Waziristan.

Drone attacks have taken the lives of considerable numbers of common people, and locals think innocent civilians are the prime target of drone attacks. The missiles fired are equipped with fatal radiation-emitting elements uranium and plutonium, which is ultimately causing life threatening diseases such as cancer, liver problems, skin diseases, and mental problems.

People in Waziristan are convinced that America is creating terrorism in the region. They say the government of Pakistan needs to pressure America to stop drone attacks as well as stopping the allegations. They say both are causing great damage to the efforts and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces for the establishment of peace and stability in the region.
