Guys’ Choice Awards Chooses Hugh Hefner for the ‘Alpha Male Award’

Whereas the Daytime Emmys most honor the world of soaps, Spike TV honors the best in “guydom” for its second annual Guys’ Choice Awards last night. The show was hosted by none other than Harold and Kumar themselves: John Cho and Kal Penn. The Guys’ Choice Awards gives praise for the sexiest women and coolest guys from the past year as well as giving tributes to legends to making an impact in the entertainment industry.

Matt Damon proved that nice guys does finish first, taking home the top honors as “Guy of the Year” and “Best A– Kicker” for his intense performance as anti-Bond/human Terminator Jason Bourne in The Bourne Ultimatum.

Iron Man earned status as the “Guy Movie of the Year,” as director Jon Favreau and star Robert Downey, Jr. come to received the award.

Hugh Hefner showed that sex sells for having the first ever “Alpha Male Award” for his accomplishments — and then some — as the editor-in-chief of a magazine called Playboy.

The Farrelly brothers have received the long-awaited recognition they’ve been looking for. There’s Something About Mary was the surprise hit of 1998, and it’s been inducted into the “Guy Hall of Fame.” Along with the writer-director duo accepting the award was cast members Ben Stiller, Markie Post, Lin Shaye, and Cameron Diaz, who have been given the “Decade of Hotness” award.

Harrison Ford proves that it’s all about the experience and the mileage. The man known as Han Solo, Indiana Jones, and Jack Ryan was given the “Brass Ba–s” Award.
