CECAFA Secretary General Lauds Football Activities in Somalia

With rising football activities in war-torn Somalia, Secretary General of the council of east and central African football (CECAFA) Nicholas Musonye commended the on- going football development in Somalia.

In a letter sent to Somali Football Federation on Thursday, Mr. Nicholas Musonye said that he appreciated the daily updates of football activities of Somalia.

“Please pass my greetings and message of goodwill to all people of Somalia for keeping football alive despite difficulties there” CECAFA secretary General Nicholas Musonye said in his correspondence to Somali Football Federation.

“I am fully with you in all your programs and God is watching your positive activities,” Musonye said in his emailed message which was distributed to the media by Somali Football Federation media department on Thursday.

Somalia has experienced one of the most disastrous civil wars in the world for the past two decades during which the country’s all infrastructures and governmental institutions were completely destroyed. But Football federation succeeded to raise the nation’s flag in every international football gatherings.
