Power Generator Creates Massive Disturbance in Diphu

A necessary evil

Although hard to believe but its happening. The atrocious sound of a generator has caused students to skip schools and pregnant women are having nightmares in maternity ward of hospital.

A diesel generator running inside BSNL ( Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) office chiefly to provide uninterrupted power supply to its microwave signal tower for connecting cell phone installed at Baithalangso town has caused tremendous disturbance among students.

In the same neighborhood a RSTC school established by Government of India’s ‘ Sarba Siksha Mission’ for enrollment of drop out students within age group of 10 years are traumatized from terrified sound of the power generator.

Teachers and guardians of the school children of RSTC School have been informed already thats a sizable number of school girls have stopped going to school and with each passing day and number of absentee is increasing.

Just 50 meters away from the BSNL office is the primary health center where pregnant women remain admitted in maternity section, neither they can sleep nor can rest in peace when terrible generator is switched on. A particular apparatus necessary for keeping the commutation of the area functional has on the other way distressed the symmetry of the locality; affected people are considering the existence of the generator set as a necessary evil.
