New Delhi: After the successful launch of the IPhone 4S throughout the west, Indian Private mobile operators are all set to launch the Apple iPhone 4S in India.
A NewsBlaze report states that November 25 is the official date that Top Indian Telecom players Aircel and Airtel are expected to launch the iPhone 4S in the country.
For a 16GB iPhone, both Aircel and Airtel have priced the phone for INR 44,500 while its higher variant of 32GB would be INR 50,900. However, both carriers have not yet released an official announcement regarding the price of the Apple iPhone 4S 64 GB.
Apple iPhone 4S is the most talked about phone since the death of its founder Steve Jobs. This phone was announced a day before Jobs’ demise.
Meanwhile, the phones are available for pre-order on the operators’ websites till November 24. As per the information given on the Airtel website, you have to pay the full price at the time of pre-booking and the handset will be made available to you on the launch day.
In the West, in the first three days, Apple said they took orders for 1.7 million 4S iPhones. At a constant buying rate, that would be over 23,000 iPhones per hour, 393 iPhones per minute, or 6 iPhones per second. At times, the rate was much higher than that, because over one million were sold in the first 24 hours, according to the official source at Apple.
