53 Executions in First 2 Weeks of 2016 Proves No Change in Iran

Iran stepped up executions before the nuclear “Implementation Day” and crucial elections.

The regime ruling Iran ended 2015 with a dismal report card of more than 1,000 executions, and stepped into the New Year by actually escalating and going full speed ahead with hangings. In the first two weeks of 2016 records show 53 executions have been registered across the country, needless to say many executions go unregistered and are carried out in secret in Iran. Tehran has suffered a major setback in the nuclear dossier and implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with the P5+1 that has, although temporarily, defused its plans to obtain nuclear weapons.

This regime is also facing crucial elections around the corner, making it desperate for legitimacy. Despite all this, the mullahs’ needs for executions show nothing has changed amongst the ruling hierarchy, willing to tolerate even more condemnation from the United Nations.

To confront various crises domestically and internationally, especially with Syria, has not encouraged Iran to back down from their horrific executions. In fact, Iran senses the weakness in the West’s policies and standpoints, and exploits and takes advantage of this opportunity by sending more and more Iranians to the gallows to impose their reign of fear.

Change from within Iran is a hoax and there is no such thing as moderation in Iran
