On Nov. 1, 2012, it was announced that visual artist and painter Marc Remus won the art competition at the Mexican Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany.
Votes
There were 47 artists who exhibited, and the artist with the most visitors’ votes became the official winner.
Mayan Painting
The total of votes cast was 600, and Remus received the majority of those votes, all on his Mayan painting. He won in both categories. “Most Popular Artist” and “Most Popular Painting” were the categories.

Remus, born in Frankfurt, Germany, is a Neo-pop artist, painter and illustrator.
Not only are Remus’ works pleasing to the eye, but it is his artistic technique that enables one to see and sense the very location each piece represents.
