Free Family Expo and Wellness Festival is The Family Event of The Year

Come join the fun at the Folsom Family Expo and Wellness Festival September 19 & 20!

Family Expo

The Folsom Family Expo and Wellness Festival 2008 is shaping up as the family event of the year.

Sierrastyle Publishing, publishers of The Style magazines, in association with Mercy, are hosting this exciting event at the Folsom Community Center, 50 Natoma Street on Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20, 2008.

The event kicks off on Friday, with a special sneak-preview show for businesses, featuring local wineries and restaurants. At the sneak-preview, business owners, chamber members and community leaders have the opportunity to network while enjoying food, drink, art and entertainment. The preview show runs from 6-9 p.m.

The Folsom Family Expo opens on Saturday 20th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Countless activities and attractions are featured throughout the day. Visitors will enjoy bounce houses, face painting, outdoor games, clowns, balloon twisters, a fashion show, health screenings, wellness activities and a lot more.

Also included is free admission to the Folsom Zoo for the day! This is the really cool part of the show for kids and I will be there to get a free portrait!

Mercy also hosts their annual Health and Wellness Festival at the Folsom Family Expo, a great benefit for all families. Come and join the party!

Terry Carroll, CEO of Sierrastyle Publishing told Folsom Local News “A percentage of the proceeds from this event go to Play For All, a fundraising initiative we spearhead, in association with the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom and the City of Folsom, to build the first universally accessible playground in Folsom. In association with Shane’s Inspiration, this playground will allow all of our community’s children – disabled and able-bodied alike – to play together.”

Folsom Parks and Recreation department supports this unique playground, in conjunction with the City of Folsom, the Historic Folsom Rotary Foundation, the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom and Sierrastyle Publishing. With the help of the community, an interactive and educational playground where all children can play together, will become a jewel of the city! Find out more at www.shanesinspiration.org.

The Family Expo and Wellness Festival is a fun event and one important thing for families is that is is free. I’m really looking forward to it and I hope to see you there.

When you see me at the Expo on Saturday, tell me the secret phrase “Sierra Expo” and win a prize. I’ll be the one there with the black video camera.
