The Twilight Saga

“I reached out for him, found his hands in the darkness and pulled myself closer to him. His arms encircled me cradling me to his chest. My lips searched, hunting along his throat, to his chin till I finally found his lips” wrote Stephanie Meyer in her twilight saga.

Twilight was a young adult vampire-romance novel written by author Stephanie Meyer. It was originally published in 2005 in hardback. The whole idea came from a dream that Stephanie Meyer had on June the second 2003. That day, as she woke up from the strange dream, where two people were having an intense conversation in a meadow in the woods.

These two were a normal human girl and a breathtaking vampire, who was so beautiful to the limit that you would feel intoxicated if you were near him. As she sat down and wrote the first few chapters, just so that she wouldn’t forget how wonderful the whole story was and after 4 years, it was finish.

The twilight saga contained four books that described the ultimate love story between Bella, the human girl and Edward, that good-looking vampire. Twilight saga was divided as I said, in four books, and these books were Twilight, New moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. The whole story was based on many problems. They had to fight everything to stay with each other. They tried to live through their love even when everything always fell apart. But it was nice that they had strong feelings even when they left each other and their relationship did not fade at all.

It stayed exactly the same even when they were apart. The main character Bella Swan had always been a little different, even for a human young adult girl. She chose to live with her father in the rainy little town forks, especially when her mother remarried. Bella’s entire life and feelings changed when she meet the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen. They became involved in a passionate romance. And from Edward view, Bella was that thing he had waited 90 years for, His soul mate. But the closer they got, the more he had to struggle to resist her blood scent. But in the end they did manage their unmanageable love quite well and you could call it a happy ending.

In Twilight the vampires weren’t the average vampires that we are used to reading about. For instance, they were not harmed by garlic, holy items, or wooden stakes. They had reflections and were capable of coming out during the day. They were also capable of eating human food, though their bodies were unable to digest it in the same time they did not have to breathe.

Twilight vampires were possessed supernatural beauty, where their skin was flawless and had the texture and the sense of marble and It sparkled, when it came in contact with sunlight. Also all vampires were described as having incredible superhuman power. They were also immortal and didn’t sleep at all. Edward and his family were unique among vampires in that lifestyle choice. They didn’t drink human blood and called themselves vegetarians because they lived on animal blood. Edward Cullen lived together with six other vampires. They made sort of a big coven and they called themselves a family. Their names were Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmet, who all were adopted by Carlisle and Esme Cullen.

The twilight saga contained everything, we average human could experience in a life time, from lost, unfaithfulness, love, courage, inhibiting and exhaling emotions.

Personal opinion I loved the twilight saga. I had spent my entire Christmas holiday reading more than 2700 pages with such a passion, that I would read it again just for fun. It was really books that I could read again. These books were wonderful and had a very interesting love story, which tore my heart a couple of times.

I felt the suspense between the characters and I felt in love with the way, the author Stephanie Meyer described the whole story. I felt in love with these books and I am sure that there are many, who do agree with me. I became obsessed with these incredible books and all I wanted was to finish them. I have learned a lot of things from twilight.

There I could see how love did affect someone and how it made her entire existence vulnerable. My favorite book was New Moon, when Bella described her feelings toward Edward, the main male character, and how devastated she became when he decided to leave her.
