Six Killed, Eight Injured in Four Mishaps in Assam

At least six people were killed and eight others injured in four separate road mishaps in Assam on Tuesday night, officials said on Wednesday.

Two people were killed and another injured in a road mishap at Mangaldoi in Darrang district on Tuesday night.

The accident took place near Mangaldoi police reserve where two persons were killed in a head on collision between two speedy trucks.

One of the victims was identified as Nur Islam and the others injured were admitted at Mangaldoi civil hospital.

In a separate incident, a person was killed and five others injured in a collision between two trucks at Palashbari Saru Tezpur area in Kamrup district.

The injured people were rushed to Guwahati Medical College hospital.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed and two others injured, when a speedy mini truck skidded off from road and fell in a deep gorge at Jogipara area under Boko police station in Kamrup district on the wee hours of Wednesday.

The victims were identified as Manoj Rabha and Nirav Rabha.

Injured person duo Bipul Rabha and Dipen Rabha were admitted to nearest hospital.

In separate incident, a youth was killed when a speedy vehicle hit him at Digboi area in Upper Assam on Tuesday night.
