Obama and Sikhs – Off to a Bad Start?

By Balbir Singh Sooch-Sikh Vichar Manch

In the sense that the Sikh and Hindu religions are heavily intertwined in India, the common sense of humanity has more common bonds and better knotted every where though each human following his/her own pattern of leading life i.e. a way of life but the identity of individual and his/her ‘balanced participation’ in the collective approach towards the society and the system are especially recognized and judged by the basic concept of religion being followed by him/her or similarly the conduct of individual without religion.

The issues to decide, as to what are the concepts of religions and of the individuals, possess similarities and dissimilarities requires deep insight information that might have not brought in the knowledge of the President Mr. Barack Obama when he mentioned Hindu only in his statement. Rather, we should not expect such a vast knowledge or perfection from worldly people included the President Mr. Obama. It is to be taken as a mistake not one of the blunders and, now and then, such mistakes do not require clarification in day today life interaction.

To my mind, it is totally a false and misconception of a fact and is vexatious idea and argument that the ‘Statement Hindu’ included Sikhs though, humans in their actions every where do also possess similarities and dissimilarities like the concepts of religions.
