Security forces apprehended the self style c-in-c of the Dimasa National Liberation Force (DNLF) and a cadre of the outfit group in Assam on Wednesday night, officials said on Thursday.
A joint team of army and police apprehended a cadre of the outfit group named Laksham Lobongdisa from Maibang in the Dima Hasao district when a three- member group of DNLF had been trying to collect extorted money from a businessman.
Security forces also nabbed the self style c-in-c of the outfit from Dimapur area in Nagaland.
“Based on intelligence report, troops launched an operation at Dimapur and apprehended the top leader of the outfit group,” an army official said.
The nabbed self style c-in-c of DNLF was identified as Sujit Hakamosa and security forces recovered one pistol with ammunition in his possession.
