Inaugural Nepal Festival USA Aims to Boost Nepal Economy

The inaugural Nepal Festival USA is being organized in New York on December 20-23, 2008

As Nepal transitions from a decade long violent conflict to a democratic republic, Nepalis hope to embark on a socio-economic transformation.

With this objective in mind, the Nepali Public Relations Committee, America, in the USA, and AD & Event Management Nepal Pvt. Ltd, in Nepal, join together to organize NEPAL FESTIVAL USA – 2008.

This effort aims to re-introduce Nepal’s exquisite handicrafts, arts and paintings, carpets, herbal products, travel and tours to the world. Organizers hope this event will help spark a renewed interest in Nepal and its people to promote tourism, culture, trade, economic and foreign direct investment opportunities.

In addition to Nepali products on display, visitors can sample typical Nepali cuisine and participate in side events such as cultural shows, films and seminars.

A Press Conference is to be held Friday, December 5, 2008 at 2 pm in the Armenian Church located at 630 2nd Ave. Manhattan, NY 10016.
