Srinagar, July 14: A female German tourist (Passport No. 2165083225 Visa No. AP-2692562) was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a hotel in the mountainous Leh region of Indian administered Kashmir.
A police spokesman said Reetz Edith Johanna, a resident of Heuchdhein, Germany was found dead yesterday in her room in Hotel Grand Willo at Forte road in Leh town, 434 km from Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir.
He said Johanna, in her early 30’s, had arrived in Leh a few days ago on a holiday.
“A case has been registered and investigations launched to ascertain the cause of her death,” the spokesman said
