4 People Run Over and Killed By Train in Assam

Guwahati, August 3: At least four people were killed in two separate incidents, when two speeding trains ran over them in Assam on Friday.

The first incident took place at Bharalumukh in Guwahati on Friday morning, a man died on the spot, when the Delhi bound Rajdhani express ran over him on railway track.

The deceased person was identified as Pramod Chandra daimary.

In a separate incident, three people were killed on the spot, when a Bongaigaon-Guwahati speeding Chilarai express ran over a autorikshaw at Boko in Kamrup (Rural) district., where the deceased people were traveling to.

The autorikshaw was hit by the train at the unmanned level crossing at Boko around 11 am on Friday.

Also, an elephant calf was killed when a passenger train hit it at Panikhaiti area in the outskirts of Guwahati, on Thursday, officials said.
