2 Soldiers Injured in Grenade Attack in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 15: Two Indian paramilitary CRPF men were injured when militants attacked their security picket with a grenade on Thursday evening.

A police official said militants lobbed a grenade towards a paramilitary CRPF picket outside the OPD block of SMHS hospital in Srinagar at around 1916 hours. “The grenade exploded with a big bang, causing injuries two paramilitary soldiers,” he said.

The injured soldiers identified as Harbans Lal and Anant Bhoro were hospitalized. “The doctors attending on them have termed their condition as stable,” they said.

Immediately after the blast, police and paramilitary soldiers laid siege around the area and conducted search operations to flush out the militants responsible for the attack. However, no arrests were reported.

No militant group has owned the responsibility of the attack so far.
