Where Is Our World Heading To?

Tel Aviv University American Friends tried to answer this question when their IDEAS Los Angeles one day conference, organizers, Rosalie Lurie and David Dorfman, in which many startup companies and entrepreneurs participated, took place in Los Angeles California.

The many participants were given the opportunity to meet investors, innovators and thought leaders and were able to connect and collaborate at this IDEAS Los Angeles technology and entertainment forum.

IDEAS is a spark of the soul, a measure of brilliance, an act of creation. Ideas are the inspiration and the ignition of human endeavor and that is what IDEAS LA aimed to capture, the essence of our collective ingenuity in a fun and interactive one full day setting.

The Forum, presented by Tel Aviv University in collaboration with The California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) was sponsored by many companies and philanthropic foundations. IDEAS LA’s goal was to design a space where thought leaders and Israeli Innovative companies come together and share ideas with the audience. IDEAS Los Angeles aim is to inspire people to think deeper and more broadly by engaging with inventors and innovators tackling some exciting challenges in the world today.

Except having fun and meeting new people, it was a dynamic, multi-faceted full day event of thinking, sharing and connecting; a day of curiosity and surprises that included renowned keynote speakers, interacting with knowledge stations and engaging with expert panels and Israeli technology startup presentations.

The morning started with breakfast and an opportunity to meet new friends and make contacts in a setup in the backyard of the Broad State, Santa Monica venue. Throughout the day, people had the freedom to roam and explore IDEAS presenting Israel, digital, arts, entrepreneurs and science, and how rapidly knowledge, products, and business are emerging out of each category.

IDEAS LA was given birth this year, 2015. Expect much more next year and for the years to follow.
