The United Nations Organization (UN) headquarters building stands tall on 18-acres of land, on the eastern shore of Manhattan Island, on New York City’s East River bank.
The UN originally was known as a symbol of peace and a beacon of hope. However the UN can no longer be seen as such symbols. Rather, it has gained notoriety.
The subject of shutting the doors on the UN and relocating its tall building from Manhattan to a UN rogue state member has been discussed over the years many times. It is now on the agenda again.
Recently radio and TV commentator Mark Levin suggested shutting down the UN and replacing it with an organization of democratic member states only.
Establishing The UN In 1945
On July 28, 1945, by a vote of 89 to 2, the U.S. Senate approved the UN Charter and the United Nations came into existence on October 24, 1945, after 29 nations had ratified the Charter.
The United Nations Organization was founded on the basis of neutrality.
Basically, the UN was founded to address global challenges that were deemed too big for any one country to handle alone. The UN’s work includes peacekeeping, human rights, counterterrorism, and nonproliferation.
No Neutrality
The UN organization lacks a moral compass and now sees reality through the lens of an anti-Israel perspective. As one glaring example shows, the United Nations ‘Condemns‘ Israel for responding to the ongoing Houthi ballistic missile attacks. It decries what it calls the ‘escalation’ of violence, Stéphanie Tremblay, a UN spokesperson, said in a statement on behalf of UN Secretary General António Guterres.
No mention of the Houthi escalation, only the Israeli response to their attacks.
Why The international Dismay
The reason for the international community’s recent disapproval of the UN is simple. It is because the UN veered from the vision and purpose for which it was established. It is because the UN allowed itself to be hijacked by ineffective, corrupt, and unfit for the job employees with political tendencies. That is what happens when rogue countries that stand totally opposite to what the UN charter and treaty is all about become state members of the organization.
In summation, the UN has become a mirror of many of its undemocratic member states. A cesspool of corruption and injustice.
So many of us, citizens of democratic countries, have known this for years, way back in time. It is long overdue that we stop funding the UN, period. Then re-organize it to its original concept ~ Veteran Tom Pinard
The UN Treaty
The Preamble to the UN treaty reads as follows:
We, the peoples of the United Nations determined:
- to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind, and
2. to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small, and
3. to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained, and
4. to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,
And for these ends
1. to practice tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbours, and
2. to unite our strength to maintain international peace and security, and
3. to ensure, by the acceptance of principles and the institution of methods, that armed force shall not be used, save in the common interest, and
4. to employ international machinery for the promotion of the economic and social advancement of all peoples,
And with that, the UN was ratified.
UNRWA
Following the end of Israel War for Independence in 1949 and the displacement of some Arabs from the area, on December 8, 1949 the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) was established by the UN General Assembly. This UN branch’s duty was to carry out direct relief and work programs for Arab refugees, following the 1948-1949 war. The agency began its official operations on May 1, 1950 and it has been a financial milking cow since that time.
Ever since, UNRWA has kept the Arabs who claimed to have become refugees and their descendants in refugee status. There was no plan to settle them and remove their refugee status, as happens with all other refugees around the world.
This UN branch has perpetuated the Arabs who fled Israel during the War of Independence in 1948 in this situation for 76 years, ongoing. It is past time to end this shenanigan. The real refugees are all dead. The false refugees are taught “the right to return” [to the land of Israel from where they were displaced]. It is just one more tool to destroy Israel.
End of Perpetual Refugee Status
It is also time for the Arab “refugees” to move on with their lives and stop relying on Western taxpayer money to live on the dole.
Gazans Are Arabs
By the way at the time when these Arabs’ great-grandparents became refugees they were known as Arabs. Why are they called by the false identity “Palestinians”? They are Arabs, originating from several Arab countries. They have always been Arabs, always will be, just Arabs!
After 10/7/2023
Since the brutal October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, it has become clear to the public that UNRWA fully cooperates with Gaza terrorists. It employ Hamas’s terrorists in its manpower ranks while it can be seen as misusing UN state members’ money.
It is time for this agency, as well as the entire UN, to be dismantled and removed, or at least, as suggested years ago, to have nations pay only for what they want and to get what they pay for.
The Gaza-UNRWA Hate Israel Curriculum
A poem taught to Gaza seventh-graders calls on knights, symbolizing Arab leaders, to liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem “from the fist of unbelief, from Satan’s aides – revenge to the Jews.”
What is disturbing is that the UN chief and other donor countries refuse to see what many Arabs already see, namely that UNRWA has long been playing a significant role in inciting hatred against Israel and raising another generation of Gaza children on the glorification of violence and terrorism.
UNRWA Employee Terror Activities
According to Israeli intelligence, at the time the October 7, 2023 attack took place, more than 450 terrorists who belonged to terrorist organizations in Gaza, mainly Hamas, were employed by UNRWA.
By not firing them, the UN Secretary-General and UNRWA’s Commissioner General have been brazenly demonstrating their determination to continue employing members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad even after having been presented with incriminating evidence to this effect.

UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini recently told the UN General Assembly that his agency provides tolerant, respectful and anti-extremist education in Gaza.
On the contrary, IMPACT-se’s new report unveils institutional teaching material, taught in five UNRWA schools in Gaza, where Hamas commanders have been exposed masquerading as school principals.
We, the People, Demand to Oust the UN From US Land
The UN building sits on the most expensive land in Manhattan. Maybe this untrustworthy organization fits better in Iran or Darfur?
The UN should be kicked out of NYC. It is really degrading for America to have such a questionable organization with so many immunity privileges to be located on US soil. And as I know the parking tickets they get and never pay amount to millions of dollars in city revenue.
UN A Source of No Good
The UN is a source of no good in all respects. Remember COVID and the UN World Health Organization (WHO) that lied to the world and untold numbers of people died all over the world?
More irking, the U.S. pays the largest sum of money, more than any other member state to the UN. President Trump, during his first presidential term, acted to defund UNRWA. Hopefully he continues with this trend.
Personally, I have felt for a long time that the UN should be kicked out of NYC; it has become a source for spying on the U.S.
The UN must resign from its original duty and dismantle itself, or, we, the people must do it for this decayed organization.
More Recently …
Parliamentary members from 14 different European countries, among them France, Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, the Netherlands, and more have appealed to the UN Secretary-General to “remove UNRWA from the UN agencies.”
A letter was written to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, following the testimonies of Israeli returnees about their hostage detention in UNRWA facilities in Gaza.
Danny Danon, Israel Ambassador to the UN, responded: “I support the members of parliament for their demand from the UN Secretary-General and their support for what we have long proven – Hamas has taken over UNRWA. Supporting UNRWA is supporting Hamas. The secretary-general’s and UNRWA Commissioner-General [Philippe] Lazzarini’s turning of a blind eye is not the solution.”
May Golan, Israel Minister for Social Equality and the Advancement of the Status of Women of Israel, in a live message to the UN said: “Anyone who dares to deny the massacre of children and babies has no soul. They are a monster. It bothers you that Jews are defending themselves. … Keep your silence. After all the last time the world was silent during a massacre of Jews, six million of us were murdered.”
There is enough evidence to close the UN. It has failed its mission multiple times. We should say farewell to the UN now.
