Iran Training Soldiers To Fight Assad?
An Iranian MP has admitted Iran has trained thousands of Syrians to become soldiers and has sent thousands more members of Hezbollah to fight for Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.
Mahmoud Nabavian, whose remarks were published in the state-run media, said: “We are not paying the price for Syria, but Syria pays the price for us.”
“We brought 150,000 Syrians to Iran and trained them militarily and trained 150,000 over there and sent 50,000 Hezbollah forces there, and Hezbollah declared that 80,000 missiles were ready to be launched at Israel and that caused the US to fail in Syria.”
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Syasah also published reported on the meddling of the Iran’s rulers in Syria and the presence of Iraqi militants affiliated with Maliki in Assad’s regime.
The report states: “In line with the orders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to assist the Assad regime, Iraqi militia leaders are conscripting thousands of people to be sent to Syria.”
One of the members of the coalition of the government affiliated with Nouri al-Maliki revealed that a few days ago the leaders of Iraqi militias received orders from Qassem Soleimani, commander of the terrorist Qods Force, that are related to two security issues in Iraq and Syria and the conscription of thousands of new militias to be dispatched to Syria.
“This has led the Asaeb-al-Haq group led by Qais al-Khazali, Jaish al- Mukhtar, who is affiliated to Waseq Albtat, and the Iraqi Hezbollah affiliated to Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, to distribute thousands of conscription forms in the southern provinces of Iraq and Sadr city in Baghdad. Recruited members go to Iran and after completion of training and are then sent to Syria by air and ground.”
Al-Syasah adds: “In this way, the Assad regime has completed the planning of his military offensive with the support of the Iranian regime and Russia, and the regime’s ongoing negotiations with the opposition in the framework of Geneva-2 is only a maneuver whose aim is to gain more time to complete the preparatory works by the end of next spring, and to begin a military counter attack concentrating on the complete liberation of the Damascus suburbs and the city of Aleppo.”
The Assad forces have intensified bombing of the city of Aleppo in recent days.

“The relative decline of international pressure on the Iranian regime and Maliki’s exploitation of the security crisis in Al-Anbar province by increasing troop numbers to control Iraq’s borders with Syria, form two contributing factors to the Assad regime to bring in more weapons and militias, and to put an end to the confrontation with Syrian revolutionaries, especially if the Geneva talks fail.”
