Citizens of Mongolia Celebrate Their National Day

The citizens of Mongolia will celebrate their 90th National Day on July 11.

US Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, speaking in Washington, DC, extended the congratulations of President Obama and the people of the United States, to the people of Mongolia on their 90th National Day.

Ms. Clinton said United States and Mongolia are working together to strengthen defense and security cooperation, increase trade, fight the effects of climate change, expand student exchange opportunities and so much more.

She stressed that Mongolia’s example as a thriving democracy continues to inspire other countries in the region and throughout the world.

Economy of Mongolia is centered on agriculture and mining. The country has rich mineral resources such as copper, coal, molybdenum, tin and tungsten.

“On this special day, we reaffirm the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two countries. Whether you celebrate with family or friends, know that the United States is a partner and friend and we are committed to building a better future for all our people.” -Ms. Clinton
