The 2016 Women of Influence was just recently celebrated by L.A. Biz recently. The venerable program honors Los Angeles women business owners who strive to be innovative, successful, and continue to “pay it forward.” Chosen leaders stand out for their achievements both in the marketplace, in addition to their commitment to their community.
The honorable “Women of Influence” is a national effort by The American City Business Journals (ACBJ) to help foster diverse business settings that can continue to generate more successful women in the future of leadership roles, as well as to identify and celebrate the women business leaders that are here today, and thriving in the marketplace.
Sherri Murphy CEO and Founder of Elite Connections International was one of the top women chosen for this award. The award of distinction was also given to Sherri Murphy due to the outstanding community service she engages in, through her non-profit organization called “Party With A Purpose.” With this group that Sherri founded, she and her group of matchmakers have been helping Los Angeles’ most needy children during the holidays for 17 years with a special dinner and Christmas gifts, that they normally would never have.
