US – North Korea Tension Worsens After Kim Jong Un Nuke Threat

Trump Tells Kim ‘My Nuclear Button is Bigger and More Powerful’

US – North Korea tension continues to escalate. The United States of America and North Korea shake amid Kim Jong Un’s threat of nuclear war and President Donald Trump’s response in social media.

In his annual New Year’s address Kim said, “The entire mainland of the US is within the range of our nuclear weapons and the nuclear button is always on the desk of my office. They should accurately be aware that this is not a threat but a reality.”

In response to Kim’s provocative statements against the US, President Donald Trump responded with a taunt in Tweeter by saying, “Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!

Trump’s tweet across the bow Tuesday evening was part of a barrage of New Year’s posts chastising Iran, Pakistan and Palestinian leaders.

Fiery Rhetoric from North Korea

North Korea has been under fire in recent months following its series of ballistic missile tests. In fact, the possibly nuclear-armed regime has been hammered by crippling sanctions and was definitely not happy about it, which sparked outrage and fiery rhetoric from the regime as well.

Outraged and rejecting the sanctions, the regime was defiant about the fresh sanctions and threatened the US government over their ambitious pursuit of nuclear proliferation.

The regime said, “We will further consolidate our self-defensive nuclear deterrence aimed at fundamentally eradicating the U.S. nuclear threats, blackmail and hostile moves by establishing the practical balance of force with the U.S.”

In addition, the communist regime said those who voted for the sanctions would face Pyongyang’s wrath.

Those countries that raised their hands in favor of this ‘sanctions resolution’ shall be held completely responsible for all the consequences to be caused by the ‘resolution’ and we will make sure for ever and ever that they pay a heavy price for what they have done,” the statement said.

North Korea Tension Leads To Sanctions

The United Nations Security Council unanimously voted in favor of the resolution; all 15 members of the council, including China and Russia, backed the sanctions.

Kim Jong Un’s attempt to rattle his saber resulted in US-North Korea tension only in Kim’s dreams.
