American Jews, especially those who have the State of Israel at heart, simply cannot discount Ambassador Nikki Haley’s work for Israel she performed in the UN halls. Mrs. Haley did not directly work for Israel. However, her open truth and candid outlook at the slanted conduct of the UN, when it comes to Israel, fueled her candor.
Ambassador Nikki Haley is one UN envoy who changed the way the UN treats Israel, even if she moved the needle in the slightest.
For her courage to stand strong with Israel and for the right reasons, American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) bestowed upon Mrs. Haley the Iron Dome Award. When you open the gates of truth you welcome love into your life, and that is what Mrs. Haley is deservingly enjoying.

This week, at a dinner event, packed with admirers, in Los Angeles, California, apart from receiving an award, Mrs. Haley was interviewed by Dina Leeds, AFMDA West Coast President. She spoke openly and unabashedly about her work in the UN.
She had declared that Israel belongs to the Jews and the United States is not taking it any more that UN member states treat Israel in a way they treat no other country.
While in office as USA Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Organization, Nikki Haley made history. She told the 193 countries, members of this morally distorted organization, treating Israel under different standard than the one applies to the entire world, NO MORE!
Nikki Haley believes that a lie has no legs and the lies, distortion and misrepresentation about Israel have no legs and must be revealed, challenged and wiped out. Haley ran with Israel and Jews. And Jews and Israelis are grateful for her work to get the UN off Israel’s back.
And Mrs. Haley stood shoulder to shoulder with Israel, no longer on the sidelines. With her conduct Mrs. Haley gave Israel recognition in the UN that the Jewish State never enjoyed before.
She also told the dinner attendees, who often broke into applause, about her parents immigrating to America, her patriotic up-bring, about humanitarianism, and her run for politics, all were influenced by the way she sees the world and the values her parents instilled in her. She also mentioned her new think tank ‘Stand For America‘, an endeavor triggered by her belief that American is an exceptional country that gave her and her family so much.
Light in the Hour of Darkness
So what does Mrs. Haley, the former US Ambassador to the UN have to do with an organization that supports Israel’s national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank service?
Scattering the light in the hour of darkness. When Americans support Israel, just as Mrs. Haley does, via the work of MDA, they help save lives in Israel and make Israel more secure.
This formula helps MDA to do its job better in a country that is constantly security challenged.
All people are humanitarians if we live right, Mrs. Haley claims. The commonality, she believes is that no one can destroy what God has blessed, which is the nation of Israel. Through Mrs. Haley’s truth, and with MDA saving life both add light to the world.
The name Magen David Adom (MDA) means “Red Star of David.” Since June 2006, Magen David Adom has been officially recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross as the national aid society of the State of Israel under the Geneva Conventions, and a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. MDA has a dedicated medical emergency phone number in Israel, 101.
It is not often that you come across a person such as Nikki Haley. It is not often that one comes across an organization, such as AFMDA, which totally dedicates its work to make sure that in Israel, where rockets can fall and explode anywhere, anytime, the ambulance that saves life is readily available. A contribution to MDA, may save one life and “when you save one life,” as the Jewish ethos goes, “you save the whole world.”
