The Art of Diagnosing Network Failures
Wireless networks operate in an unseen realm, with signals traveling invisibly through the air, making troubleshooting a complex and meticulous process: “Wireless is something you don’t see, which makes diagnosing failures incredibly challenging. Every detail must be analyzed carefully and correlated with real-world applications,” explains Ansam.
Unlike traditional wired networks, where faults can often be traced to a physical connection, wireless failures arise from a multitude of factors, including interference, coverage inconsistencies, authentication issues, or hardware malfunctions. Each demands a precise and strategic approach to resolution.
At the core of Ansam’s diagnostic methodology is Ekahau AI Pro, an industry-leading tool for wireless site surveys and performance analysis. With expertise in Active, Passive, and Predictive site surveys, she uncovers critical coverage gaps, interference sources, and performance bottlenecks that often evade conventional troubleshooting: “Many underestimate the power of wireless site surveys, but these assessments can detect hidden issues long before they escalate into a catastrophic outage,” she asserts.
Combining data-driven insights with hands-on expertise, Ansam transforms wireless troubleshooting from a reactive process into a proactive, precision-engineered solution, ensuring networks remain resilient, high-performing, and future-ready.
Leveraging SD-WAN and Cloud Solutions for Stability
Recognizing the transformative power of SD-WAN, Ansam swiftly became an authority in its implementation, ensuring seamless and resilient network connectivity: “I embraced SD-WAN because modern businesses can’t afford downtime; every second of disruption translates into lost revenue and productivity,” she explains.
By leveraging intelligent traffic management, automated failover mechanisms, and dynamic bandwidth allocation, she has successfully eliminated disruptions that previously crippled business operations.
Her expertise enables organizations to maintain real-time network adaptability, ensuring mission-critical applications run without interruption, even across multiple locations for headquarters and distributed branches and sites .
Beyond SD-WAN, Ansam has also harnessed the power of cloud-based networking with Microsoft Azure, enhancing security, scalability, and redundancy.
Keeping in mind that Cloud and wireless are two distinct technologies, they can still converge at one outstanding point, allowing wireless management systems to run over cloud-based solutions.
Cloud solutions provide businesses with additional protection, ensuring that wireless infrastructures remain stable, up-to-date, with zero downtime, highly available, and resilient, even under high demand.
By combining cloud computing and SD-WAN, Ansam has redefined network resilience, equipping enterprises with future-proof, high-performance connectivity that keeps them ahead in an increasingly digital world.
The Role of Proactive Troubleshooting in Preventing Network Disasters
For Ansam, preventing network failures is about identifying and resolving issues to ensure they are resolved permanently, thereby preventing future problems. Or even better make sure they never happen in the first place: “Many businesses wait until a major failure disrupts operations before seeking help,” she reveals.
“By then, the financial, operational, or even life-threatening damage has already been done. My approach is to eliminate risks before they escalate,” she says.
Her proactive methodology focuses on anticipating vulnerabilities, optimizing performance, and fortifying infrastructure against potential disruptions, a proven, indispensable strategy in high-stakes environments.
Referring back to her time at the University of Washington, Ansam reveals she was instrumental in strengthening wireless reliability across academic and medical institutions.
This helped to ensure a seamless connectivity in environments where even brief network disruptions could be critical. Ansam revolutionized EAP-TLS WLAN enrollment through SecureW2, allowing academics and students to be connected to Eduroam wherever they are abroad.
Ansam says this eliminated authentication bottlenecks that could hinder essential applications: “In hospitals and medical clinics, a wireless failure can mean the difference between life and death. Doctors rely on real-time patient monitoring and instant data access, and there is no room for error,” she explains.
Ansam has ensured unwavering connectivity in the most demanding and high-pressure environments by implementing preemptive solutions and refining network architecture.

“I focus on helping clients maximize their existing infrastructure, ensuring they invest wisely rather than unnecessarily,” Ansam says.
Recalling her time at Verizon, Ansam says: “Wireless isn’t a one-size-fits-all technology. What works in a university won’t work in a high-security data center. Every network must be engineered with precision, considering performance, security, and scalability,” she explains.
“When I was at Verizon, I spearheaded enterprise-grade wireless deployments, customizing solutions to meet the unique demands of financial institutions, manufacturing facilities, and sprawling corporate campuses.
“I was, in effect, a relentless problem-solver, but I really love to troubleshoot seemingly unsolvable issues.
“Ofte,n you can uncover hidden inefficiencies that most engineers overlook. Companies waste millions upgrading hardware when the real culprit is often interference, misconfiguration, or software inefficiencies.
“My approach is to diagnose and eliminate the root cause, not just mask the problem with expensive new equipment.”
Miroslav Skyto, her former colleague and Senior Manager of Systems Engineering & Architecture, has witnessed her expertise firsthand: “Ansam is exceptionally detail-oriented and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction,” he says.
“She approaches every challenge with unmatched professionalism, delivering results that meet and exceed expectations.”
