Vin Diesel Renews His Action Hero Status as a Secret Agent in ‘xXx’ Movie

Vin Diesel continues to renew his action hero status with not only reprising the role of Dominic Toretto in the upcoming Fast Five, but he and director Rob Cohen are set to bring back Xander Cage, the thrill-seeking secret agent known as xXx.

A year after The Fast and the Furious, xXx became another summer blockbuster for Diesel in 2002, which led to the 2005 sequel xXx: State of the Union with Ice Cube succeeding Diesel, whose Cage was supposedly killed off in the beginning of the movie, which bombed at the box office.

However, it has been reported Diesel and Cohen will reunite for the entitled xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, which is set to be financed by Paramount and shot in 3D. Currently in the beginning stages of pre-production, the film is expected to come out somewhere between late next year or early 2012.

Meanwhile, you can catch Vin Diesel on the road — and on the run — with Fast Five in theatres April 29, 2011, and you can find out more about it at http://fastfivemovie.com
