Sikhs Sandwich in Between Centre and Opposition-Sikh Vichar Manch

By Balbir Singh Sooch, Advocate, Ludhiana

The following was a letter received recently, and a response to it.

Dear Advocate Balbir Singh Sooch, Sikh Vichaar Manch,

“Sikhs’ Sandwich” has become more popular and tasty that the Congress and BJP/RSS under the cover of brahminical doctrine and Hindutva are going to eat it and digest. This process, in fact, started when Sikhs were delighted to have their own two slices of bread – one as Ruling President and other as opposition leader with a view to grab that post since 1930 immediately after the enactment of The Sikh Gurdwaras Act 1925.

Thereafter, when the Second World War was in full-swing and the Sikh soldiers were being killed and telegrams used to be delivered to their parents that your son had been killed in Burma or Singapore or in Europe, then after the gap of eight years (1936), (8) Sikhs sat together and finalised the Sikh Reht Maryada wherein some salt and spices were added, which now proved to be contrary to the Divine Knowledge contained in the Guru Granth Sahib.

And the current Mahabharat being fought by these Pujaris or say, Head Ministers is the product of above References. SAD’s Punjabi Party Bad Dal Dealer has been operating like Lord Krishna, though not in Kurukshetra but from the Fort of Chandi i.e. Chandigarh Capital. These Goluck-paid servants have made so much money that they now don’t care for anyone. If Income Tax and other Agencies look into their assets and lodge court cases, then only they may start walking on ground?

Recently, in response to the retired IAS & former Punjab Chief Secretary Mr Surain Dhanoa, I had commented that due to the treachery of Hindu Dogras and Poorbias, Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s Khalsa Raaj was lost (1839-1849) whereas under the Badal’s regime being surrounded by BJP/RSS and other Anti-Sikh cults/Sects, Sikhs are bound to lose not only their Sikh Identity but also Sikh religion. Look ! for the sake of votes, they have started performing brahminical rituals by Badal, Dhindsa, Sidhu, Lahnga and they have been proving as the true heirs of Luv and Kush as mentioned in the Bachiter Natak?? They have already accepted Hindu Jantri i.e. Saka Calendar in the name of Nanakshahi Calendar from Chaitra just with a difference of 7/8 days only. All Sikh Historical Dates have been changed under some silly argument?

Since The Sikh Gurdwaras Act 1925 was mainly enacted to look after the Historical Gurdwaras and to propagate the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib, Sikh Vichaar Manch may wish to approach the Sikh Judicial Commission to dismiss the SGPC and the Head Ministers as provided under Sections 43 A and 134 of The Sikh Gurdwaras Act 1925.

Thanks for your selfless services in the best interest of Sikh Nation.

Sikhs Sandwich in between Centre and Opposition

Sikh Panth as a puppet in the hands of the Hindu dominated parties from top to bottom

It is not new to bear with the phenomenon of ‘Panthic Crisis’ for Sikhs in independent India.

It is not first time and not only a temporary phase of political inference in Sikh affairs but it is a set policy of government of India to keep Sikh Panth divided thorough the Takhats etc controlled by divided forces and normally the clergy of Takht Patna Sahib and Hazoor Sahib remain under the control of Centre directly or indirectly and similarly the Takhts situated in Punjab follow directives of opposition in centre i.e. BJP and Congress and vice versa, both Hindu dominated parties identified in the name of hard and soft Hindutva respectively.

Thus Sikh Panth is a puppet presently in the hands of the Hindu dominated parties from top to bottom and the Sikh issues of differences are always highlighted out of promotion with malafide intention, intentionally and deliberately, in different ways tactically with the help of so called intellectuals and religious henchmen.

The history of root cause of malfunctioning, maladministration and degradation of Sikh institutions could be traced out easily from this very act and fact of slavery.

Rest to explain is past and continue endless story of Sikhs of their slavery through the stooges in independent India as experienced and being experienced.

Sikhs are living with great hope that the dark days would never remain ever.

Panthic Crisis Two outside Takhts defy Akal Takht Varinder Walia Tribune News Service

An unprecedented Panthic crisis has been created in the Sikh Panth with the clergy of Takht Patna Sahib and Hazoor Sahib openly defying the directive and Gurmattas, passed in the meetings of Akal Takht on June 6.

The situation seems to have reached a point of no-return since the Sikh clerics of Punjab have stopped inviting jathedars of both Takhts and took a diametrically opposite stands on the Maryada (Sikh code). Takht Patna Sahib and Takht Hazoor Sahib have already rejected the Nanakshahi Calendar, approved by Akal Takht and SGPC, and continue to recite the Dasam Granth.

The crisis has developed at a time when the Sikh community and different Panthic organisations are busy in chalking out programmes to mark the tercentenary celebrations of the Gurta Gaddi of Guru Granth Sahib in October.

Members of the Sikh community all over the world are of the view that if the jathedars of all five Takhts have failed to resolve their own disputes, it will be difficult for them to solve the problems being faced by the Sikh community.

Most of the problems arose as the Jathedar, Akal Takht, failed to give proper leadership to the Sikh high priests. This was why the community was divided on almost all Sikh centenaries, celebrated during the stint of Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti as Jathedar, Akal Takht.

Various Sikh organisations had been accusing Jathedar Vedanti of passing controversial edicts/directives in the meetings of Akal Takht. It is said Jathedar Vedanti remains on foreign tours most of the time and gives less time to affairs of Akal Takht. Serious allegations were levelled against his personal assistant and relative, Prithipal Singh Sandhu.

The Panthic circles are of the view that the current division between Sikh clergy of Punjab (Akal Takht, Kesgarh Sahib and Damdama Sahib) and two outside Takhts.

(Patna Sahib and Hazoor Sahib) would cause irreparable damage to the age-old Sikh institutions. The meeting of Takht Hazur Sahib has clearly announced that directives issued from Akal Takht without the presence of the representatives of all the five takhts won’t be acceptable to the Sikh Panth.

The meeting of Akal Takht, held on June 6, had imposed an undeclared ban on Jathedar Iqbal Singh from attending the meetings and called upon the Sikh Panth to reject all the controversial edicts issued by him (from Takht Patna Sahib
