Nine Dead Bodies Recovered in Dimapur

Guwahati: Nagaland police recovered highly decomposed bodies of nine unidentified persons near Dimapur along with Assam-Nagaland border on January 3 night, police said on Saturday.

According to reports, police discovered the decomposed bodies whose eyes were blindfolded and hands were tied up with their backs at Chumukedima area near Dimapur, one of main business cities of Nagaland on Friday night.

Dimapur SP V Z Angami said the victims were shot from close range in their heads.

“The entry and exit point were visible in the bodies, which were lying atop each other,” Angami said.

Unidentified gunmen killed the persons two weeks ago, the top police official said.

Police had registered a case and continued their investigation to found identity the killing persons.
