Debojeet Thaosen, Member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) was elected unopposed as the Chief Executive Member (CEM) on Thursday, officials said.
Chairman of NCHAC Ngamrothang Hmar said seven numbers of nominations were received in favour of Debojeet Thaosen and he was declared unopposed CEM of Dima Hasao.
Congratulating the newly elected CEM, the Members of Autonomous Council (MAC) expressed that they will extend cooperation to him for the welfare of Dima Hasao.
The newly elected CEM of Dima Hasao Debojeet Thaosen said he looks forward to work for the uplift of the people of the district.
