Hamas Victory Manipulation
Hamas is the manipulation master of Westerners’ minds. They learned well how the West thinks [or does not] and they manipulate the West to concede to them. A Hamas victory is not what Westerners would expect.
We are led to believe that by traditional military measures, Hamas could be seen as almost defeated: Hamas leaders are dead and their ranks in disarray and the Strip from where they operate is almost uninhabitable.
Hamas’ Lifespan
But Hamas militants still operate and pose a danger to Israeli military. They are hiding in tunnels that were not yet destroyed or have not yet been found and revealed and when they come out from under the ground they come to attack, to engage Israeli soldiers in a battle or cause physical damage to the Israeli troops.
Any army throughout history, once surrounded and under siege, starved of resources, and stripped of defensive capability, would have already surrendered unconditionally. NOT Hamas.
Hamas fights on — not because it can win, but because it is willing to let Gaza be destroyed so long as it can still breathe and shoot another RPG. Hamas will fight until the bitter end, whatever it is, because above it all is their goal to be killed by an Israeli soldier and become a martyr. That is the extent of their brainwashing; to them life on earth has no value, life after has.
Hamas Global Perception
The bitter truth is that in one arena Hamas is a winner. It has achieved what no military campaign could achieve, which is a full-mind over matter victory in the realm of global perception.
Hamas is a terror organization that lives to murder; it hides behind civilians, even children, and murders its own people or Jews. Hamas succeeded to erase in people’s mind who they are and what they have been doing and paints itself as a victim [of its own wrongdoing].
Through relentless successful propaganda, the ability to raise funds, dissemination of doctored images, emotional manipulation, and a global network of sympathizers in media, academia and town squares, Hamas has seized full control of the narrative.
While Israeli soldiers risk their lives to minimize civilian Gazan casualties, and while the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) provides humanitarian aid and protection corridors, even during combat — the world accuses Israel of war crimes, of genocide.
The West Fell Prey to Hamas
The West, which should know better, but it does not, has fallen prey to Hamas manipulation. The true nature of ISIS type Hamas being genocidal, anti-Semitic, and fanatically committed to Israel’s destruction, has been whitewashed. The outcome is that universities and town-squares erupt in pro-Hamas-anti-Israel protests, news networks parrot falsehoods about Israel and defend Hamas, and Western governments hesitate to stand firmly on the side of the truth.
This is Hamas’ true, pyrrhic victory – won at too great a cost to have been worthwhile to be the victor. The victory is not in territory gained, rather it is a loss, but their gain is in poisoned hearts and minds.
The Aftermath
No doubt, at the end Israel will prevail militarily, the pain the entire nation suffered will soften and the country will thrive again. There is no other way but “life will go on,” hopefully better than before.
But the deeper, longer battle is for moral clarity in the hearts and minds of the poisoned world. In this battle, people of moral clarity and compass must fight brazenly and tougher than ever.
The Israeli Hostage Is Hamas’ Psychological Warfare
A year and a half ago, October 8, 2023, is when Israel launched the war against Hamas.
Israel’s main war goal, besides victory over Hamas and the other terrorists, is to bring back home all the hostages Hamas dragged into Gaza on October 7, 2023. These hostages have been the best psychological warfare ace card Hamas holds. There is no reason to believe that Hamas will release these poor innocent people who remain in Gaza in Hamas’ captivity in unknown locations.
Additionally, among the 2 million Gazans, not one among them came forward as an informant to show the way to at least some of these hostages’ captivity places.
What To Do
It makes no sense that Israel does not know how to counter Hamas’ psychological warfare. Surely, this is a major part of the reason the intelligence services exist and the government’s PR (Public Relations) acts upon.
Long ago the Israeli government should have figured out what was taking place, and counter it, fast. And the first lesson is to understand how it works and why, when it is confronted with a strong war machine.
If Israel cannot do this pronto, I carry with me a deep sense that comes with great worry. The worry is that Israel is not tough enough, strong enough, or smart enough to stand its ground and endure in this long war it is not accustomed to fighting.
If it cannot, Israel may be on its way to losing the battle. Expectantly, this should not happen, but why are they missing the step in handling this crucial factor to win the war?
