The Murder of Tzeela Gez
Four shooting attacks by the same Arab terrorists preceded the horrific murder of Tzeela Gez, 30, in advanced stages of pregnancy, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, the day when Israel declared its independence 77 years ago.
The terrorists opened fire on the Gez’s vehicle traveling along Highway 446 between the Baruchin and Peduel communities in Samaria. Tzeela Gez was critically wounded in the terror attack. She was rushed to Beilinson Hospital while undergoing resuscitation in the ambulance. Despite prolonged efforts by a medical team through the night, she succumbed to her injuries.
Tzeela, accompanied by her husband, was on her way from the community of Baruchin to the hospital so she could give birth to a new life.
And what are the IDF and the State of Israel doing in response to this terror attack? They are chasing the mosquitoes instead of destroying the swamp where mosquitoes breed.
The verse that comes to mind after the details of this terrible act of terror came to light is, “For the sea is great, and he who blesses it, who can heal you” ~ Book of Lamentations, chapter 2.
Terrorists In Our Midst
The murder of any Jew is shocking, and usually the essential duty is not to let the emotion wear off. But in this case, where a woman was shot and murdered by a cursed Arab while on her way to the delivery room to bring a new life into the world, and died in the arms of her wounded husband, whose heart does not shatter to pieces?
And the baby who was born from the body of his deceased mother and is still fighting for his life is simply a miracle.
But the guilty parties are the State of Israel and its residents. They are guilty since the writing was on the wall, and also in general. Because within the State of Israel lives a cruel enemy whose sole purpose is to intimidate and murder its residents and destroy the state.
In this case, the writing was even more glaring since the same terrorist cell had previously carried out at least 4 attacks in the very same area.
And in all four of these attacks, aimed at murdering Jews, which occurred on the way to the nearby Shoval Ranch, within the jurisdiction of the city of Ariel municipality, or on the same highway where the last attack took place, in which Tzeela was murdered, the targets miraculously survived, and in some they were “only” injured and the murderous terrorists managed to escape.
Hunting One Mosquito, Protecting The Nest
And instead of the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and the State of Israel finally internalizing and understanding that the enemy must be destroyed, that the enemy population must at least be expelled far from the State of Israel borders, that in the face of every attack Israel must act collectively, by demolishing and erasing the village[s] of the murderers, what is the IDF doing in the service of the state? Still working within the tweezer system, seeking to pluck out the murderer and leave all else intact.
Thousands of Jews were murdered in one way or another by the Arab enemy that resides in the heart of the State of Israel. The question is for how much longer will the endless murders continue and how long will they be handled by the tweezer plucking method?
The IDF is looking for one specific mosquito terrorist who bit while in the pulsating terror swamp mosquito terrorists are being born every moment. And so the search for every murderer, after every attack, focuses on “spatial scans” in an attempt to locate “intelligence information.”
This endless pursuit has been going on for decades and its results – more and more Jews are being murdered. This is one major conceptual failure that overshadows small daily successes in the war on terror.
Of course, the murderers must be caught, but the State of Israel and the people of Israel must understand that now they must also change their entire way of thinking and the actions they take against terrorism.
The murder of Jews is not a default excuse. Israel can think and act differently. For this, Israelis must stop chasing the mosquitoes of terror, but rather dry up the swamp from which the mosquito of terror is born and from which he/she emerges to act.
In a country with true Jewish and humane morality, after the first terror attack in the area, the IDF would have wiped out the Arab villages of Bruqin and Kafr al-Dik from where the terrorist originated and expelled their residents for a start. And there is no shortage of Israeli soldiers who know how and would be happy to do this.
But instead, IDF soldiers pursued in a “targeted” manner so that the enemy population, which rejoices in the murder of any Jew, would not be harmed. They pursued and even failed, as in many incidents.
One can mention here the terrorist who in August 2024 murdered Sergeant Diego Shuisha Hersage and Sergeant Elia Hillel, may God avenge their blood, IDF Kfir unit fighters, at the Ha’mitvahim Junction. The terrorist mosquito is still on the loose, he has not yet been caught. And the terrorist mosquito who on February 20 2025 planted explosive devices on buses in the town of Bat Yam has also not yet been caught; as has the terrorist, from the Arab town Qalqilya, a worker at a factory in the Baron Park industrial zone, near the Israeli community Kedumim, who on August 18, 2024 snatched Gideon Perry’s weapon, a manager at that factory, and murdered him, may God avenge their blood. The terrorist then stole an Israeli vehicle that was nearby, and fled the scene.
And the IDF and Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu continue to talk, even now about “closing the circle,” and “we will get to the terrorists,” and a host of other meaningless statements when everyone knows that statements alone will not prevent the next attack.
And not only that; after the murder of Tzeela Gez, their choice of shameful moral blindness led the IDF and the police to immediately send large forces to prevent the local Jewish residents from protesting the attack; to monitor the behavior of the Jews, and let the hostile Arabs to show, as usual, their glee about another Jew being murdered by their fellow terrorist[s].
Military patrols, Border Guard forces, and police were sent to dozens of locations in the area to see that Jews were not taking revenge on the enemy while the army was busy chasing a terrorist mosquito.
At the same time, of course, the enemy’s daily life was protected. After the attack on the Gez couple and the murder of Tzeela, the enemy’s movement was completely intact, as if nothing had happened.
Finally Internalizing Terror
The residents of the Jewish State, Israel, you are a target everywhere, in every corner where you walk, and you must internalize it. And thus you must make a drastic change. The only solution is the destruction of the enemy, and the expulsion of everyone who wishes you harm.
As the Torah says: “And if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, and it happens that you leave some of them as a thorn in your side and a pestilence on your side, and they will afflict you in the land in which you are dwell.” ~ Numbers, chapter 33; sentence 55.
There is no shortcut road but the one that shortens one’s life; and until Israel understands and accepts this, unfortunately, this afflicted terror will continue to hurt and the pain and sorrow will only increase.
