Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton today send best wishes to Queen Elizabeth II on her birthday.
“On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I am delighted to send best wishes to Queen Elizabeth II and our friends in the United Kingdom as you mark Her Majesty’s Official Birthday this June 11.”-Ms. Clinton
Ms. Clinton said the occasion provides an opportunity to acknowledge and honor the Queen’s dedicated leadership and to celebrate.
Ms. Clinton stressed that the United States is committed to the enduring relationship between the two countries. Ms. Clinton said the United States value the contributions by Her Majesty in strengthening it. Ms. Clinton added that the two countries unique alliance is founded on their common history and thrives today through their shared ideals of democracy, the rule of law, and human rights.
