Iraq Plots to Plunder Properties of Camp Ashraf Residents

The Iranian Resistance has issued strong protest calls to the UN Secretary General, to prevent Martin Kobler from playing a facilitator role in plundering the property of thousands of PMOI members, the results of their 26 years endeavor in Camp Ashraf.

This Secretariat (the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran) already said in a statement on November 4: “According to information obtained from inside of Iranian regime, Qassem Suleimani, the commander of the terrorist Quds Force, in order to deny Camp Ashraf residents their property rights, has directed the Iraqi National Security Advisor to demand that Iraqi ministries and government agencies to claim ownership of properties of Ashraf residents.”

Iraq Creates Bogus Documents For Its Iranian Masters

However, the latest information received on the issue indicates that a large apparatus has been launched for producing bogus documents falsely claiming that the previous government of Iraq has paid for all movable and immovable properties of Camp Ashraf residents including the vehicles, machinery, buildings, and infrastructure.

In this regard, the commander of the terrorist Quds Force has directed the government of Iraq to file bogus complaints against Ashraf residents and make fabricated judicial cases including issuing arrest warrants and confiscate all their movable and immovable property.

UN Has Original Proof Of Ownership

This ridiculous scenario is being carried out while the documents proving that the PMOI had purchased and imported to Iraq the vehicles, power generators, medical equipment, etc.. had already been provided to the Government of Iraq and UNSG Special Representative to Iraq. Also, during the past few months, the Iraqi department of motor vehicles has checked some 1,200 vehicles in Ashraf and there has not been a single claim on any of the vehicles but there was no record for nine of the vehicles in the department’s official records.

Plundering the property of Ashraf residents is a clear violation of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, The Fourth Geneva Convention, The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights to all which the Government of Iraq is a signatory.

The Iranian Resistance has called on the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, to rein in his special representative, Martin Kobler, who is acting as a facilitator for the Government of Iraq, which is acting as a puppet of Iran and the Quds Force.
