Will Kim Jong-Un Cancel Meeting With President Trump?

North Korea Not Happy With US-South Korean Drills?

The anticipated and historical US-North Korea summit this coming June 12 is not likely to happen as Kim Jong-un regime threatened to cancel the meeting with President Trump.

The warning came after North Korea walked away from a high-level talks with South Korea on Wednesday. Media reports say the surprise move was triggered by US-South Korea military exercises.

The North Korean side was not happy by the ongoing military collaboration between its adversaries.

The threat to walk away from historic summit with President Trump was confirmed by North Korean state media and confirmed by Seoul.

Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) also warned the U.S. that the “provocative military racket” put the June 12 summit between Trump and Kim Jong Un in jeopardy.

The North said it was angry about Max Thunder, a large military exercise that’s currently being staged by Washington and Seoul in South Korea. KCNA called the drills an “undisguised challenge” and a “deliberate military provocation” against the quest toward peace.

The drills, which began on Friday, involve about 100 warplanes from the US and South Korea, including eight F-22 stealth fighters and an unspecified number of B-52 bombers.

North Korea May Cancel Meeting With President Trump?

This is actually Fake News. The mainstream media, which is part of the deep state are trying anyway they can to derail the North Korea talks. They will not succeed and there will be peace. The deep state will lose this battle.

The media said North Korea warned the White House that it will cancel talks with President Trump if the US demands it give up nuclear weapons. The regime is not interested in the US-North Korean summit if it is based on “one-sided” demands to give up nuclear weapons. That is the story. Do not believe it.

North Korea’s central news agency also said, “We will appropriately respond to the Trump administration if it approaches the North Korea-US summit meeting with a truthful intent to improve relations.”

In addition, Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea’s first vice minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quoted by the news agency as saying Pyongyang could walk away from the summit with the U.S.

But we are no longer interested in a negotiation that will be all about driving us into a corner and making a one-sided demand for us to give up our nukes and this would force us to reconsider whether we would accept the North Korea-US summit meeting.”

The threats came just hours before a planned North-South meeting at a border village.

The US Reaction

The White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said they are aware of the reports that are making a buzz in international news.

However, the state department spokeswoman, Heather Nauert, said the US had not heard directly from North Korea about any second thoughts and added that the United States would “continue to go ahead and plan the meeting” between Trump and Kim.

What we have to go on is what Kim Jong-un has said before, that he understands and appreciates the importance to the United States of having these joint exercises,” Nauert said. “We have had no formal or informal notification of anything.”

We will continue to plan the meeting.”
