Unknown militia gunmen have shot and killed a Zimbabwean citizen who was working with a foreign company in the Mudug region of central Somalia.
Witnesses told newsblaze that the armed men killed the Zimbabwean citizen in the region that is currently under control of the self declared Galmudug state.
The Zimbabwean man works for a fishing company. The man was killed within the company grounds.
Interior Minister Ahmed Mohammed Hashi told newsblaze on the phone that the Gamudug state administration was not aware of the presence of the Zimbabwean in southern Galka’yo.
Southern Galka’yo is currently under control of a joint Galmudug state and Ahlusunah administration.
The Zimbabwean government has not yet commented on the death of their citizen in Somalia.
