“The second leg of Somalia’s division A soccer championship will be on halt before September 14 and that is because of the Ramadan. During that period, the General Daa’uud cup will be played in accordance with our annual work-plans. This means that the SFF is committed to holding competitions one after another.” secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab said in his press statement Sunday.

The secretary General added that the first leg of the division A championship has so far yielded positive results as the SFF technical department has short-listed more talented young players who have good future in football.

“We have drawn a special training program for those short-listed players because we want them to be busy in training sessions in a bid to enhance their techniques and experience in football since they are expected to represent their nation in football competitions in the near future,” secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab.

Meanwhile, the secretary General noted that participating clubs of the country’s division A championship have stepped up training sessions and preparations for the second leg of the tournament to be resumed on 14th of September.
