BREAKING NEWS: The Associated Press has just reported that the wife of Oscar-winning actor and director Mel Gibson filed for divorce after 28 years. She filed the papers in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple married in June 1980, and have seven children – including 9-year-old Thomas – and Robyn is seeking joint custody. The story was first broken by TMZ, as Robyn and Mel released a joint statement that they “always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so.”

After 15 years, the gate has been unlocked once more with Stargate Universe (SGU), the second spin-off series of the popular Stargate franchise. Featuring a cast that includes Robert Carlyle (24: Redemption), Lou Diamond Phillips (La Bamba, Numbers), and Ming-Na (ER), the show follows a team of explorers that come aboard a ship from the Ancients, and soon discover that they’re unable to return to Earth. Now, they must come together and fight for survival. It is stated from Gateworld that SGU will be a “completely separate, third entity” that will introduce audiences who may not be familiar with the Stargate franchise, as it will take place during the present, not in the distant future The series has been given the green light for a full season, and it will debut this October on the SCIFI Channel. And Hannah Montana tops the box office charts this Easter weekend with $34 million dollars. Last week’s champ, Fast & Furious, still got speed to take the number two position with $28.8 million, yet it already passed the $100 million mark with $118 million. It was recently reported that both stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are in talks with Universal to race once more for the sequel Fast & Furious 5. Monsters vs. Aliens takes the last spot with $22.6 million – leading with a grand total so far, of $141 million dollars.
