NASA Federal Credit Union Announces New Star Trek Themed Credit Cards

Star Trek Fans will have the option of choosing from four different styles – United Federation of Planets, Captain’s Card, Starfleet Command and the Starfleet Academy Alumni.

NASA FCU is releasing these credit cards in association with CBS Consumer Products and various credit score repair companies. With the credit card and a NASA FCU account, consumers will be eligible to earn reward points for a host of Star Trek merchandise and of course, experiences.

The cards also feature no balance transfer fees, competitive interest rates along with other rewards and APRs. The cards will most likely be available by September.

However, NASA FCU’s clients will not be the first to own a Star Trek credit card. Star Trek credit cards are available in many different countries from different providers. The list of countries includes Japan.

Bank of America also had its own Star Trek themed credit cards that came out in the 90s.

Douglas Allman, NASA FCU’s President and CEO, said, “We’re excited to offer these new cards to Star Trek enthusiasts to express their support every time they use the card.”

He also added that hopefully fans will take complete advantage of all the benefits offered through the card. Along with the brilliant Star Trek theme, the card comes with many financial services created to save consumers money and time.

NASA FCU, chartered in 1949, offers financial services for businesses, associations and individuals. The not-for-profit cooperative caters to the needs of over 100,000 members. The company offers a full array of financial services and has over $1.6 billion in assets.

NASA FCU boasts of acting as an advocate for the client while also functioning as their trusted financial advisor. The company’s motto is to empower clients and to help them in creating a brighter financial future.

According to Geek.com, the new credit cards are “downright out of this world.”

NASA FCU is also offering special incentives to the first 1,000 sign-ups. Anyone with a good credit score can qualify for the credit card.
