More than 600 people are already registered to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the MDA Tampa Bay Muscle Walk presented by APEC to help pay tribute to – and raise funds for – children and adults served by MDA in the Tampa Bay Area.
“We want to encourage people in our area to give back to local families affected by neuromuscular disease,” said MDA Executive Director, Erin Authier “By supporting the MDA Muscle Walk event on April 25, 2015, people can make an immediate difference and help raise awareness and funds for research and vital services benefiting families served by the Association.”

National Media Personality, Shannon Rose, will be the 2015 Muscle Walk emcee. Rose, appears weekly on the “Mancow Nationally Syndicated Radio” show, got his start in the world of entertainment as a Pro Wrestling Ring Announcer. He has worked with such legends as Dusty Rhodes and Hulk Hogan. His multi-faceted talents also include acting, radio and TV production as well as owning his own PR Company. He is also known as Mr. Hollywood.
His face and likeness is seen in the video game EA Sports MMA.
This event also hits home for Mr. Rose as he has a form of MD and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome along with struggling with pain each day.
His story is what movies are made of.
Last year, MDA Muscle Walks nationwide raised more than $6.2 million, and more than $10 million has been raised since the program started in 2011.
