Historic Sutter Street, Folsom. On Sunday, April 18, local antique collectors and visitors will be joined by antique enthusiasts from Northern and Central California when the Folsom Historic District Association hosts their 44th Spring Antique Fair.

Ten to fifteen thousand shoppers will fill the four-block historic district for this popular event which features a wide range of antique and collectible merchandise: Glass, china, pottery and porcelain; American and European furniture and furnishings; country and primitives; estate and vintage jewelry, watches and accessories; paper collectibles, prints and paintings; clothing and textiles; silver and silverplate; and musical memorabilia.

Many longtime collectors start their search early by flashlight. Others enjoy the convenience of free light rail transportation, conveniently stopping at the Sutter Street Station. Free light rail tickets are available from Sutter St. Merchants, compliments of Regional Transit. Shoppers may park all day in the Historic District’s Garage for $2.00 (100% of funds raised go to local non profits.)

Special services: Gary Cox, “The Antique Answer Man” will provide verbal appraisals for $5.00 per item all day near the Folsom History Museum, and Miracle Glass Repair will accept broken or chipped glass and china for repair and restoration near Chicago Fire.

Live entertainment includes Proxy, a local favorite known for their superb renditions of “classic hits,” performing from 11am-3pm near Old Europe Restaurant at Sutter and Decatur, and Oscar Reynolds, Bolivian master flutist, guitarist and composer performing all day near Hacienda del Rio at Sutter and Riley.
