Lisa Rinna Returns to ‘Days of Our Lives’ Next Spring

It’s official: Lisa Rinna is coming back to Salem, as The Hollywood Reporter states that the actress will return as Billie Reed on NBC’s Days of Our Lives (DOOL), a role she originated almost twenty years ago.

The character became a fan favorite thanks to her onscreen pairing of Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), in which she’ll “explosive” scenes with as well as with her mother Kate (Lauren Koslow).

Lisa played Billie from 1992 to 1995, and again from 2002 to 2003; she was then succeeded by former erotic actress and Baywatch beauty Krista Allen (1996-99), and Daytime Emmy winner Julie Pinson (2004-2008).

A year after leaving Days, Lisa found nighttime success as Taylor McBride on the original Melrose Place (MP) and appeared in several made-for-TV movies such as Lifetime’s 2001 Sex, Lies & Obsession with real-life husband Harry Hamlin. The couple separately appeared on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and starred on TV Land’s reality series Harry Loves Lisa.

Lisa also co-hosted SOAPnet’s Emmy-nominated SoapTalk from 2002 to 2006 with Ty Treadway, who’s returning to ABC’s One Life to Live (OLTL) in the final episodes as Troy McIver.

Lisa will reprise her role as Billie on March 8.
