Substitute Gentics For Eugenics-Same Thing

Eugenics Yesterday Equals Genetics Today

Eugenics was genetics thirty years ago. It just had a slightly different name. Genetics is just a ‘lexicon’ for the same eugenics practiced in the 1930’s. “Moral enhancement” is now used to genetically force, though artificial means, making us think and act in ways perceived to be moral by ‘enhancers’. ‘Moral enhancement’ is a euphemism for brainwashing. True morality is a product of character, which can’t be enhanced-it has to chosen.

From the tyranny of David DeGrazia (GW University/Bioethics) we get: “Moral Enhancement, Freedom, and What We (Should) Value in Moral Behaviour,”-a primer for eugenics in a culture already gone though the motions. He writes: “Public policy decisions regarding MB [moral bio-enhancement] should be acceptable from any reasonable view of morality…Thus, our public policies might support research into and possibly-encourage or even require the use of certain MBs that help to reduce or eliminate any of the following moral defects.”

Any ‘moral defects’ DeGrazia identifies, shows proper morality defined by the ‘bio-enhancers’. With certain forms of ‘defective’ behavior, enhancers believe harsh techniques should be imposed on citizens to make them ‘moral’.

Initial Eugenics Theory

Eugenics, the social movement claiming to improve the genetic features of human populations through selective breeding and sterilization, attempted to distinguish between superior and inferior members of society. The U.S. History of Eugenics Practice is ripe with atrocities.

Margaret Sanger, a very prominent feminist, advocated eugenics. She saw birth control as preventing unwanted children from being born. She also discouraged the reproduction of persons who might pass-on mental disease, or serious physical defects. In 1927 the SC legitimized the forced sterilization of patients in Virginia for the mentally retarded. California initiated the Eugenics Movement, performing about 20,000 sterilizations (60,000 nationwide) from 1909-1960s.

North Carolina Following California

North Carolina’s Eugenics Program (1933-1977) was the most aggressive in 32 states, known to have eugenics programs. Lower than 70 IQ meant sterilization was compelled. NC gave social workers power to designate people to sterilize. As ABC News reported: “In North Carolina, 85 percent of sterilization were performed on women as young as 9-years-old.”

The Eugenics Record Office (headed/Harry Laughlin), wrote a mission statement: “Society must protect itself; as it claims the right to deprive the murderer of his life so it may also annihilate the hideous serpent of hopelessly vicious protoplasm. Here is where appropriate legislation will aid in eugenics and creating a healthier, saner society in the future.” He often acclaimed his eugenic sterilization laws were part of the 1935 Nuremberg racial hygiene laws.

Race, class, intelligence, alcoholism, epilepsy, blindness, deafness, disabilities, welfare recipient, promiscuity, criminality, feeble-mindedness, and child-victims of rape, all factored into a eugenic definition of ‘fit’ or ‘unfit’. Being well established in the US, eugenics spread to Germany. By 1933, California had subjected more people to forceful sterilization than all other US states. After 1945 the US eugenics movement was portrayed as distinct, and distant from Nazi eugenics.

Genetics Fits Eugenics Perfectly

Fast-forward to the present. Sex-selection, abortions on-demand, euthanasia, in-vitro fertilization (IVF), >90% abortion (on Down Syndrome, physical deformities, cystic fibrosis, etc…), and cloning, are all used for eugenics purposes, just like the 1930’s.

On 2/10/13, a New Jersey panel approved [Act3328] making it the third state to legalize assisted suicide. The Act defines “terminal disease” as “an incurable and irreversible disease that has been medically confirmed and will, within reasonable medical judgment, result in a patient’s death within six months.” There’s nothing for abuse by relatives, friends, caregivers, or medical professionals. The Act permits dispensing of lethal medication to a third party, and requires the attending physician to list the ‘terminal disease’ as the cause of death-not the lethal drugs causing it.

Conventional wisdom says gestation and birth is significantly more prone to death than the abortion procedure. Not so, says a study released this past week. New research, which revisits the full reproductive histories of women involved, shows women who delivered their babies, had significantly lower mortality rates within 1-10 years, than women who had an abortion.

As human exploitation and experimentation at the hands of the government existed well into the 20th century, and is still occurring today. Right now, many are unwittingly taking part in many unethical experiments of which they have no knowledge.

A quote stated by Winston Churchill many times forgotten: “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
