Hawaii Gets New Taste of Healthy California Living

CSA California founders Sara Marie Paul and Scott Franklin Manning are breaking new ground again, this time in Hawaii. After humble beginnings a few years ago at a small public elementary school in North Hollywood to now fund-raising for over 30 school gardens in California, Sara and Scott are ready to launch their latest project: CSA Hawaii. (Community Supported Agriculture) CSA Hawaii is starting off on the islands of Maui and Kauai but will eventually expand to the other islands over the next few years.

In addition to raising money and awareness for school garden and nutrition programs, CSA Hawaii produces conscious community events, as well as manages a Holistic Healing Retreat House located on the North Shore on Kauai. Both Sara and Scott are intuitive healers offering bodywork, watsu, waterdance, cranio-sacral, reflexology, and reiki. Their retreat offers daily raw, vegan and organic meals, outdoor non chlorinated jacuzzi, organic garden, weekly dance, yoga, and meditation workshops- both private or in a group, and several eco-tourism adventures including kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, and surfing lessons.

The retreat center is walking distance to farmers markets, organic restaurants and cafes, natural food markets, art galleries and unique shops. The historic town of Kilauea is abundant in organic and sustainable farms, conscious events, and world class beaches.
