Peter Allemann, a student at West Los Angeles College, who is a film producer and a talk show host, has been producing video interviews of faculty, to promote awareness of the college’s curriculum. Allemann who also goes by the pen name of Pete Allman has a long time record of interviewing celebrities in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, also producing his own half-hour television shows on Warner Cable and Fox 5 in Las Vegas.
Allman returned to Los Angeles six years ago, meeting Damian Chapa, thus producing several films for his company. It was “the right time” he says, to attend college for Communications. Going on his fifth semester, Allman has produced and also conducted some interviews with actor Sy Richardson, and the former school president of West Los Angeles College, Dr. Nabil Abu Ghazaleh and the active president Robert Sprague.
According to Allman, West L.A. College is one of 16 two-year colleges nationwide, to have a Dental Hygiene program, that was ingraciated by Vice President Joe Biden. He said there needs to be a campaign to enlighten the Los Angeles area about the “college on the hill.”
“The STEM program, and the Aviation and Dental program are programs that give an opportunity for students to get employed, without the frustration that some other occupations present. As for myself, I have found that the Communications field at West is excellent,” states Allman.
