Everyone knows what an MBA or Master Of Business Admin degree is, but what can it be used for? A lot of people do not know the sheer amount of opportunities available with an MBA in their arsenal. Let’s talk about some of the most popular and high paying career fields you can enter with an MBA.

1. Marketing Manager

One of the many career fields that are available for those that have an MBA is marketing, specifically marketing management. Businesses of all kinds need to have good marketing teams. This is how potential clients find out about the goods and services you provide.

With an MBA, and a minor in marketing, being the person that alerts the public to the presence of the business, and the person who pulls in the clientele, could be you. Putting together marketing campaigns and evaluating how effective they are is what this job entails. Marketing managers that have an MBA often make well over $100,000 per year, which is not bad if we do say so ourselves.

2. CTO

A CTO is a chief technical officer. A CTO is responsible for establishing a technological vision for a company. It entails overseeing the development of all technological aspects of the company.

For those that want to be a CTO, having knowledge of computers, IT, and finance all come in handy as well.

You may be able to get a job as a CTO without an MBA, but not easily. This is a career field that has a huge estimated growth in terms of opportunities and openings in the coming years. Chief technical officers with an MBA can easily earn over $150,000 per year.

3. Financial Management

Another career opportunity that comes with an MBA is that of a financial manager. Yes, those that have an MBA are way more likely to get a financial manager position than those without one. However, for the best chance at landing a dream job, it is probably necessary to study finance on some level as well.

At any rate, a financial manager is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. It is all about staying on top of the money, knowing how much is available and where, and staying on top of debts, payments, and all of that other fun stuff too. This is a field which is growing in terms of demand, plus a salary of $120,000 per year is not uncommon.

4. Operations Manager

An operations manager is a pretty cool position to have. This is a very varied position that can involve many different responsibilities. In terms of operations, the incumbent will be overseeing payroll and other financial duties, looking after IT, infrastructure, employee relations, and many other things too. If it is a part of a businesses’ operation, an operation manager takes care of it. These guys can earn up to $200,000 annually, making it quite an attractive career path.
