US Imports The Jihad

First Islamic terrorist to be judged in New York

The first Islamic terrorist to be transferred from Guantanamo and judged in New York’s Manhattan Federal Court is Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani.

Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani is a terrorist: he is accused of being the mastermind behind the terrorist attack on the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.

Ghailani, a Tanzanian citizen faces 286 charges. The most serious is the responsibility for the attacks on the embassies, where 224 persons were killed, including 12 Americans.

Ghailani was transferred to New York because of President Obama’s decision to close the Guantanamo Bay facility, the offshore high security prison used by President George Bush’s administration.

Others have also been released from Guantanamo, 17 of them with apparently no terrorism charges.

Some of these people, previously judged dangerous by the Pentagon, are unable to return to their home country, China, because the Uighurs, are persecuted there. It is said they will be hosted on Palau island, close to the Philippines.
