We have been working on self destruction for many years but now we are standing on the threshold. Oh we will probably survive at least 2/3 of this Nation might make it but there will be far less of us, after this final phase is completed.
I have seen that yesterday’s immorality is today morality. The big switch started in the 1960’s and has gotten worse since then. Language, attitudes, vulgarity, morals, chastity, modesty, manners, respectful pride, respectful to authority and integrity have become strangers in the lives of this day’s society. What was taboo in the 1940’s and the 1950’s has become normality today.
What Is Going On In Our Nation?
Drug addicts, alcoholics, homosexuality, rebellion to authority, fornicators, adulterers, rapists, larcenists, robbers, gang law, gangs, thieves, transvestites, felonies, are the signs of moral bankruptcy. These are all becoming normal in this society. As Vince Lombardi said often to his players, “what the hell is going on out here?”
There are an estimated 12.5 million alcoholics who exist in the United States, spending 7.9 billion dollars yearly on alcohol. The estimated number of Drug addicts is 13 million and it is estimated that 9 billion dollars are spent every year on illicit drugs.
Our Once-Trusted Institutions are Failing Us
I have watched Presidents stand on the hallowed ground of the White House and lie without shame; watched as senators and congress members laugh at those who put them in office as they passed damning legislation against the will of the people. Even a President who in reality told the citizens, to go to hell, by lying about health care and now runs for a second term of office.
Then the Supreme Court seems to act with complete disrespect of the Constitution and the integrity of the office they hold, voting in favor of legislation that is damning to the freedoms guaranteed in the constitution.
I honestly believe the Supreme Court judges who upheld the health care bill believe people without a law degree can’t read and understand what they have done. They just don’t give a damn about this nation and its people. They too have stated to the American people to go to hell, because they have the Power, not us, because we are peons.
Does Anyone Care?
I look across the spectrum of our society and see few who care about what is happening in this nation of the people and by the people. I just wonder where common sense has gone, and what and when did this terrible nightmare really start. I know there are good people in this nation who have integrity, honesty, morality, and respect for law and authority, but when will they speak up and come to the front of the line?
This nation is dwindling in unbelief of God, and of being worthy to live and find happiness by living in a society geared toward agency, the right to chose to do good not bad. For those who care and want to survive, you better find out how to survive.
For democracy to work, the people in that democracy need to be good and honest people. If they are not good and honest, then they will get tyranny to replace the government. I just hope and pray we are savable as a nation. We probably have a chance to make it, but can we overcome ourselves and our reckless attitudes, to prevent self destruction?
Remember that none will escape the judgments of He who wrote the laws. This means everyone, not just a few select people. If you don’t believe in God, I’m sorry but his final word will trump those who oppose his laws. None will escape.
