Now the economic part of President Donald Trump’s ‘Peace Deal of the Century’ is available. Its final goal is to end the conflict the Arabs have with the Jews and the Jewish state, Israel. The deal’s details are finally out of the bottle, in the open.
The ‘deal’ was two years in the making with great expectations. After all President Trump is a non-conventional president and many of us expected he would take an approach no other before him had taken. We expected it would finally have a chance to work. The insanity of repeating the same action over and over again and expecting different results would terminate.
Jonathan S. Tobin took to the pen and wrote today, June 25, 2019: ‘What the Trump plan cannot accomplish‘ – “The economic vision for the Palestinians isn’t new and won’t work. The intended beneficiaries have already rejected numerous opportunities to get the state they claim they want.”
I read the words and scratch my head. The deal of the century? How come?
What’s Holding Back a Deal?
The Trump peace dream team architects, Jared Kushner, David Friedman, Jason Greenblatt offered economic aid BEFORE the Arab-Palestinian society, whom I refer to as PalArabs, changes, completely, in both word and deed.
Indeed, the PalArab society lacks liberty, the liberty that can inspire people to act correctly. The fact is that the only entity denying the PalArabs their liberty is their own leadership.
Right To Exist
As a starter, everyone keeps forgetting that every PalArab faction needs to recognize Israel’s right to exist, in both words and deeds. In reality, Israel does not need their recognition. However, if the PalArabs want Israel to recognize their state, they need to start with the obvious, recognize Israel’s sovereignty and act upon this recognition.
PalArab School Curriculum
The PalArab school curriculum must be changed to rid itself of all genocidal anti-Semitism and Israel annihilationism. Educating kids with lies about Israel and teaching them incitement and encouraging them to become shahids – martyrs – is not a peaceful existence.
Incitement
All incitement to hate Jews and act violently against Jews must end; all violence, PLO, Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (PA) inspired, must end. Also the violence from Gaza must come to a full ending.
The fact that Israel security forces must see to Israel’s security vis-à-vis monitoring the PA territory, to regularly find security breach in that land, is a testament that the PalArabs are far from wanting peace.
Incentivizing Terrorists
Incentivizing terrorists must end. Unfortunately, as Tobin states, “the Palestinian Authority continues to subsidize terror in the form of salaries for imprisoned terrorists, and pensions for their families and survivors, because to do otherwise would be to admit their defeat in a war that they haven’t the courage or the good sense to give up on.”
After all the above has been accomplished, verified it is working and is entrenched in the PalArab society, THEN and only then the PalArabs will be entitled to US taxpayer funding to get their economy going, I must say with much praying.
The Arms Train
One pathetic proposition in the “deal,” is the train between Gaza to Ramallah.
Who will be the conductor on the train to make sure the passengers are not rockets and machine guns?
NO money in the world will erase the PalArab “inspiration” to destroy Israel.
And since when do the PalArabs like to work? After all, these past 52 years of convenient life on the dole is much better than creating a healthy economy.
And who can guarantee their Kleptocracy will end? Who will monitor their “leaders” to not steal the money and that the economic incentive will not further land in their bank accounts and leave their people subjugated to corruption?
What The Deal Should Be
Best approach: take the $50 Billion and use it to change and also monitor the PA education system, to totally change minds. Raise 2-3 ecumenical, peace loving generations who learn to live in harmony with Jews.
Trump’s “deal of the century” efforts are vapid. The Arabs, named “Palestinians” want a state THEIR way only, no concessions, no negotiations, no level headed approach. They want to be a Gaza in Jerusalem.
If Trump’s plan is going to fail – and it will – the blame must fall on those irresponsible – the PalArabs themselves, and not on the ideas, any ideas that were brought forward in the past or are behind the “deal of the Century” itself.
If Trump’s plan is going to fail – and it will – it can only be attributed to a poorly thought plan with rather lofty ideas. The “Peace Deal of the Century” doesn’t look like it will work.
