Singer Lorde Joins Anti-Israel BDS Movement. It Is Her Loss!

Pop Singer Lorde succumbs to hatred, boycotts Israel and we need to tell her what we think of her.

Ms. Lorde,

I am a Jewess and a freelance journalist who is most supportive of Israel. I am intrigued by the fact that you cancelled your upcoming concert, planned to be in Tel Aviv, a jovial city in one of the most flourishing democratic countries in the world, Israel.

I am also a think-through person. In being such person, in my opinion, before someone cancels a profitable performance, based on hearsay and just plain ignorance, that person needs help.

Therefore, I am here to give you an idea, some advice. Next time and before you are going to commit a senseless act, go VISIT the place and speak with the people. In this case, it would be Israeli-Jews and Israeli-Arabs, alike. Only then should you form an opinion – whatever that opinion is – and make your wise and sane decision. Had you done so, you would have NEVER cancelled your appearance in Israel. Now you lost many fans.

I believe that on March 14. 2018, you will be appearing at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, California. I am here to inform you that it is my highest duty to make sure that as many people as possible know about your senseless, cowardly, pathetic, lacking of moral compass and foolish business decision to join the ranks of the BDS.

BDS is a ‘PR’ terror movement, whose ultimate goal is to subvert or destroy Israel.

But allow me also to add that the BDS is not doing well. Joining the BDS movement though makes you a collaborator with Nazi propagandists, deliberately ill-informed fools who are anti-Israel and anti-Semites. In the long run you will chew the cud, but it is already too late. Millions of people will end being your fans.

Since you are so ill informed, you are probably unaware that the State of California has anti-BDS laws. And since you have just joined the ranks of BDS, your appearance in California may be investigated under that law.

It’s something for you to consider.

Lorde.

Janna Weinstein Smith, American Jewish Committee’s Los Angeles Regional Director, in a statement, said “The bill sends the clear and unmistakable message that the state of California wants no part of the goals and tactics of the BDS movement. Thanks to this legislation, those who wish to target Jews and Israelis for discrimination will not be doing business with the state of California.”
